snowy commute (or not)
The good thing about not owing a car anymore: I don't feel obligated as a native Midwesterner to try to drive to work anyway.

The bad thing about relying on public transit to get to work: (via the Metro Transit site)

Routes temporarily suspended.

8, 9, 11, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, 31, 32, 35, 37, 38, 39, 45, 46, 51, 53, 55, 57, 64, 68, 74, 79, 99, 105, 107, 114, 122, 123, 125, 126, 133, 143, 149, 152, 154, 155, 158, 159, 161, 162, 164, 167, 170, 173, 175, 179, 182, 183, 187, 191, 192, 196, 197, 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 208, 210, 211, 213, 216, 217, 219, 220, 222, 225, 229, 233, 236, 237, 242, 243, 244, 247, 249, 250, 256, 257, 260, 261, 265, 266, 268, 272, 277, 303, 304, 306, 308, 316, 330, 355, 373, ST 540, ST 555, ST 556, ST 560, ST 564, all 800 routes canceled, 912, 921, 925, 929, 981, 982, 984, 986, 987, 988, 989, 994, 995.

Don't see your bus route on the list? It's on i's adverse weather route. Or better yet, "an unpublished reroute"!

Let's see if tomorrow ends up being the second snow day away from work...
